FULL EVENT INFORMATION

 

Kia ora Funfest whānau,

Funfest is a smoke‑free, family‑friendly event with free entry, free parking, free rides, and free prizes. To ensure everyone enjoys a safe and positive experience, all guests must read and follow the rules below.

By entering the Due Drop Events Centre (770 Great South Road, Manukau), you accept the venue’s entry terms and conditions.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Protected by Mealamu Security

The safety of our guests — especially our tamariki — is our top priority. Funfest is not the place to “play up.” We have a zero‑tolerance policy for violence, aggression, or abuse of any kind.

Our venue is protected day and night by Mealamu Security, led by our brother Luke Mealamu. Anyone who breaches our safety rules will be removed immediately and professionally. Police may be called if required.

NO SMOKING

Funfest is a smoke‑free event. Please exit the venue and smoke outside the main gates.

DO NOT BRING

  • Tents or gazebos

  • Chairs or tables

  • Glass of any kind

  • Weapons (confiscated; entry denied)

  • Alcohol or illegal drugs

  • BBQ units or gas bottles

  • Gang patches or offensive clothing

  • Pets or animals

  • Steel or metal cutlery

Anyone consuming alcohol or drugs will be removed by security.

YOU MAY BRING

  • Your own food and drink (picnic welcome)

  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, sunhat, sunshade

  • Water — please stay hydrated

  • Plastic cutlery

 

ZERO TOLERANCE TO VIOLENCE

Threats, physical aggression, or verbal abuse will not be accepted. Anyone involved in violent behaviour will be removed immediately by security. Police may be contacted.

The safety of our whānau is non‑negotiable.

 

EVENT RIDES - MAHONS AMUSEMENTS

  • Follow all ride entry and safety instructions from operators.

  • Adults must supervise children waiting in line.

  • Bullying in ride queues will not be tolerated.

  • Anyone acting in a way that endangers themselves or others will be removed.

Rides are supplied by Mahons Amusements.

NO QUEUE JUMPING

Queue jumping is rude, causes conflict, and is not acceptable. Repeat offenders will be asked to leave the park.

 

PARENTS & CAREGIVERS — SUPERVISION POLICY

  • Children 10 years and under must be actively supervised by a caregiver aged 18+.

  • “Actively supervised” means watching your child at all times and being close enough to help immediately.

  • Children 4 years and under must be within arm’s reach of their caregiver at all times.

  • In an emergency, please dial 111.

FUNFEST STAGE

  • Only enter the stage when invited by the MC or stage team.

  • Use the stairs provided.

  • Prizes are awarded at the discretion of the MC and stage management.

 

STAFF & VOLUNTEERS

  • Our team is here to help.

  • Staff and volunteers wear Funfest t‑shirts.

  • Management wear blue Funfest collar shirts.

  • Security staff are clearly identifiable.

 

SECURITY CHECKS

Funfest reserves the right to:

  • Search bags, hampers, or items brought into the venue

  • Search any person upon entry or during the event

  • Deny entry or remove guests at our discretion

 

NO SOLICITATION

Promoting or selling products/services without written permission from Funfest management is prohibited. Anyone doing so may be removed and may face costs associated with cleanup or legal action.

 

RAIN OR SHINE

Funfest operates rain or shine. Our venue includes both indoor and outdoor attractions. If it rains, please bring a raincoat or umbrella. Rides are outdoors.
